European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) - call for presentations
Dear Collegues,

Helmar Schubert, the Chair of the Section Food of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) had a vision by creating a workshop where only the top PhD Students of food engineering of European nutrients would be allowed to present their work at an international conference with a € 2.500 award for the best presentation and an € 500 award for travel and accountancies for each presenter.

We had a highly successful event in Berlin in 2007, the next event will take place in Massey, France, May 26-27, 2008)

So far only about 50 % of the European nations have nominated representatives.

I must admit that I find it increasingly frustrating, that the food science community does not seem to be willing to take this opportunity to prove to the EFCE its strangles and vitality.

I am urging you to submit names, topics and CV´s of candidates from your countries right away.
